Cambridge, UK : 12 - 14 September 2019
At the EACR, we know that conferences are about more than just hearing the latest research. Our events are well-known for providing excellent opportunities for networking, interaction and discussion.
The conference will have a residential feel, with many participants staying at Churchill College or nearby. Space has been included in the programme to enable plenty of time for the important discussions that occur outside of the lecture theatre. Here are a few of the features you can look forward to at Nanotechnology in Cancer 2019:
Thursday 12 September, 17.45-18:15
At the end of the first day's lectures, drinks and light refreshments will be served for all participants to enjoy. Take the opportunity to make new connections in an informal setting!
Thursday 12 September, 18.15-19.45
Friday 13 September, 13.15-14.45
There are two dedicated 90-minute Poster Discussion Sessions in the programme. At these times, the presenters for that session should stand by their posters to discuss their work with other participants and invited speakers. As well as the dedicated sessions on Thursday and Friday, there will also be additional poster viewing opportunities each morning - coffee will be available to purchase from 08.30, and posters can be freely browsed.
Saturday 14 September, 09.00
In this session, Professor Caroline Dive will share from her personal and professional perspectives on the path to scientific leadership and women in science. This session will take place in the lecture theatre, and will be a forum for open discussion where participants are encouraged to ask their questions.
Friday 13 September at 19.30, Churchill College
All participants are invited to join the three-course Conference Dinner on Friday evening in the Churchill College Dining Hall (up the stairs next to the registration desk). The meal will be followed by the presentation of Meeting Bursary awards and Poster Prizes. There is no dress code for the dinner, and the atmosphere will be relaxed. We hope that during the evening new friendships will be made and professional connections will continue to flourish.
Tickets are free for all participants, and are available for exhibitors to purchase for £55 each.
