EACR Membership

The EACR is Europe's largest membership organisation for cancer researchers, with more than 10,000 members, in over 100 countries worldwide. Members range from first-year postgraduate students to winners of the Nobel Prize! If you actively work in, study or support any aspect of cancer research, you can join the EACR community.

Types of Membership

€25 - Available for up to four years or until you finish your studies

You’re completing your PhD, MSc or equivalent postgraduate qualification and your focus is on, or related to, cancer or cancer-related biomedical science research.

You may be a graduate student, medical student, resident, clinical or postdoctoral fellow who is enrolled in an educational or training program that could lead to a career in cancer research.


€60 - for four years

You have an appointment or work actively in cancer research. If you have a related degree, you graduated less than four years ago.  If you don’t have a related degree, you have been working in this area for less than four years.

For example: you may work in academia, in industry or as a medical doctor and support or conduct research relating to cancer.


€40 per year or €120 for four years

You have an appointment or work actively in cancer research and have done so for more than four years.

For example: you may work in academia, in industry or as a medical doctor and support or conduct research relating to cancer.


Included in your National Society membership

You’re a member of one of the 14 National Societies affiliated to the EACR. Click here to find out more


We offer reduced membership rates to researchers from countries with low income or lower middle-income economies, as defined by the World Bank. These rates are not applied automatically and are only available on request. Reduced fees are also available to researchers with extenuating circumstances.   3. You will receive an email with details of how to pay your membership fee
  4. When you have paid we will send your membership details by email and by post
