What is the EACR Ambassador programme?

EACR Ambassadors are a group of dedicated EACR members who volunteer their time to help the EACR. We work with our Ambassadors in a wide variety of ways and we greatly value their help in many aspects of EACR activity.

Our Ambassadors represent the wide diversity of EACR membership: from PhD students to senior researchers, academics to scientists working in industry.

What do EACR Ambassadors do?

EACR Ambassadors raise awareness of the EACR and the value of membership. They also:

• Talk to colleagues about the EACR and its professional importance 
• Give us highly valued opinions, feedback and advice on specific issues
• Forward our email news bulletins to colleagues who may find the content interesting
• Tell early-career researchers about EACR Travel Grants, Awards and Fellowships
• Highlight the programme and special member rates for EACR conferences
• Get involved in Ambassador-led events at EACR conferences 
• Emphasise the need for a strong voice for cancer research, and cancer researchers, in Europe.
