Invitation to nominate new members of the EACR Board

Nomination deadline: 12:00 PM CET (midday) on Monday 01 December 2025.

We invite all EACR members to make nominations for new members to join the EACR Board in June 2026. All nominations will be reviewed and shortlisted by the EACR’s Nominating Committee.

The Board is the EACR’s executive body and meets three times each year to decide on the EACR’s strategy, and to oversee its management and finances. Board members are Directors of the company; the current Board can be seen here: eacr.org/governance/board.

We are looking for four new Board members: three regular Members and one Representative for Early Career Researchers.

Board members must have a demonstrated, high quality track record in cancer research, appropriate to their career stage, with a commitment to the EACR’s vision and mission. They must have integrity, strategic vision, an ability to think creatively and a willingness to challenge and speak their mind. Click here to download a full role description (PDF).

At this stage, we are simply inviting members to provide names and a brief statement in support. You should first seek the agreement of the person you are nominating. Self-nominations are not accepted. We will only contact you if we have queries about your nomination, and we will only contact your nominee if they are selected for election.
