How to get there

Travelling by car

La Pedrera is on the Passeig de Gracia which is Barcelona' most famous shopping street. For nearby car parking, please view the Barcelona tourist guide here.

Travelling to and from the Airport

The journey time from Barcelona airport to the city centre (Plaça de Catalunya) is between 20 to 30 minutes depending on the time of day however all means of transport take more or less the same length of time.

You will find a taxi rank outside any of the main terminal exits. The taxis operate all night and there are several hundred of them so you don't have to worry about not being able to catch a cab. Expect to pay around €30.00 for the journey into the centre from Terminal 2 and €35.00 for your journey from Terminal 1. There are additional surcharges for pickup and drop off at Barcelona Airport. You'll find the rates and surcharges displayed on window stickers at the back of the cab. All official Barcelona taxis are black and yellow and are required to charge you only the value on the meter (plus any surcharge).

Aerobus - Express Bus Service: Express bus service to Barcelona city centre from the airport

The Aerobus service is an express bus service that links Barcelona airport to the city centre. You can catch the Aerobus from outside both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Tickets from both T1 and T2 cost €5.90 for a single and €10.20 for a return (return ticket valid for 15 days). For more information and a timetable please click here.

TMB Airport Bus to City Centre (Number 46)

This bus operates between the hours of 04:50 to 23:50 from both airport terminals. The no. 46 bus departs from Terminal 1 and stops at Terminal 2 before continuing to the city centre. This bus has more stops than the Aerobus and takes more time to travel to the city centre however the big advantage of using this bus is you can use the T10 transport ticket on this journey unlike for the Aerobus. For more information click here.

To get to La Pedrera, you will need one of the following city centre buses: 7, 16, 17, 22, 24 and V17.

Trains From Barcelona Airport

The RENFE train service runs approximately every 30 minutes to and from Barcelona airport to the city centre. Travel time approximately 25 minutes. If you are arriving into Terminal 1, a shuttle bus will take you from outside of the terminal to the train station entrance.

If travelling from the airport to the city centre you can get off at Barcelona Sants, Passeig de Gràcia or Clot which are serviced by metro stops. From these you can change for the Barcelona metro underground system to go to your final destination.

Metro to Barcelona Airport L9 Metro link

The L9 metro link connects Barcelona Airport to the city centre. There are two stops at Barcelona airport which are called: Aeroport T1 and Aeroport T2. The single Airport metro ticket costs €4.50.
