Berlin, Germany : 27 - 29 November 2017
It is important to the EACR that participants at meetings in the EACR Conference Series are able to discuss, share and create new connections and collaborations. This is a vital aspect of going to any scientific meeting, and we aim to create as many opportunities as possible to do this.

Monday 27 November, 16:45-17:45
“Our current animal models for studying metastasis produce experimental data that have little relevance for treating human disease”
Defending: Hellmut Augustin | Opposing: Yibin Kang
This will be an engaging and interactive debate for all participants on the first night of the conference. After each speaker has put across their argument, questions will be invited from the audience. All participants will be asked to vote both before and after the debate, to see whether the debate has changed anyone’s viewpoint.
Monday 27 November, 17:45-18:30
A complimentary buffet dinner will be served for all participants and exhibitors to enjoy on Monday evening. The trade exhibition will be open at this time, and there is an opportunity to continue networking.
Tuesday 28 November, 17:15-18:30
This session provides the opportunity for participants to engage with invited speakers in small groups, to ask questions and converse informally. Participants are free to ask any questions they like and can move between the tables of different speakers. The bar will be open for the opportunity to purchase drinks.
Monday 27 November, 18:30-20:00
Tuesday 28 November, 14:15-15:45
As well as poster sessions on Monday and Tuesday, there will also be additional Poster Preview sessions at the beginning of each day, where presenters do not have to be present to defend their poster, but all posters can be freely browsed.
Wednesday 29 November, 09:00-09:30
Professor Janine Erler, Chair of the Scientific Programme Committee, has made important contributions to our understanding of how cells sense and respond to the tumor microenvironment in such a way as to become more aggressive, with a particular focus on cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions. In this session, Janine will share from her personal perspective and experiences through her career. There will be a chance to ask your questions.
Tuesday 28 November, 20:00
The Conference Dinner will take place on the evening of Tuesday 28 November 2017. It will be an excellent opportunity for participants and speakers to get to know each other in a relaxed and informal environment. The evening will begin with a Drinks Reception in the Planck Lobby of Harnack House at 19.30. The three-course served dinner will take place downstairs in the atmospheric Liebig Vault from 20.00. Due to the limited size of the restaurant, participant numbers have been restricted to 110. The evening is expected to be a sell out, so make sure that you buy your ticket when registering!
Tickets for the conference dinner are not included in the registration fee and can be selected as an optional extra for only €57.
