COVID-19 Regulations in Italy

We are making every effort to keep the information on the EACR website up-to-date. However, the best place to find the most accurate and up-to-date information remains the Ministero della Salute, the official advice pages of the government of the country you're travelling from, and your travel providers. 

Proof of Vaccination/Recovery/Negative Test Results

From 1 May, regardless of the country of entry into Italy, the traveller will be required to present the COVID-19 Green Certificate or other equivalent certificate which must state one of the following:

• Completion of the primary vaccination series (evidence valid for 9 months) or booster dose (evidence valid indefinitely)
• Recovery from SARS-CoV-2 (valid for 180 days from swab test)
• Rapid antigen or molecular swab test, respectively within 48 or 72 hours before entry into Italy

COVID-19 green certificates of successful vaccination are accepted in one of the following languages: Italian, English, French, Spanish, or German. If submitted in another language, they must be accompaneid by a sworn translation into Italian.

Masks

Until at least 15 June the use of FFP2 masks are compulsory in the following cases:

• When entering Italy by plane, ferry, train or coach
• On public transport within Italy
• At indoor public venues such as theatres, concert halls, cinemas, live music clubs and indoor sporting events
• When visiting healthcare facilities

Before travelling, we recommend you check the advice and requirements listed by the Ministero della Salute, the government of the country/countries you are travelling from and to, and your travel providers.

A note from the EACR

The EACR will do everything we can to make the event safe. We will comply with any local and international restrictions in place at the time and we reserve the right to introduce checks for proof of vaccination/negative test at any point before the Conference.

• If you are unable to attend the Conference because of government requirements or restrictions introduced after you have registered, you will be entitled to a full refund of your registration fee.
• If the Conference is cancelled due to the pandemic, we will refund all registration fees.
• If the Conference is postponed due to the pandemic, we will refund your registration fee if you are unable to attend on the new dates.
