Organized by Drs. Sergei Grivennikov of the Fox Chase Cancer Center, USA, Florian R. Greten of the Institute for Tumor Biology and Experimental Therapy, Germany, and Mikala Egeblad of Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, USA, this four-day conference is dedicated to the intricacies of phenotypic and functional differences of various cell types in tumors and how such plasticity is influenced by the tumor microenvironment. It will also address current “hot” topics and future directions of this exciting and evolving field, and establish connections between scientists from the previously separate fields of stem cell biology, cancer biology, stromal cell biology and immunology.
Keywords: Tumor, Microenvironment, Tumor Microenvironment, Stromal Cells, Cell Plasticity, Functional Plasticity, Differentiational Plasticity, Stem Cell, Tumor Antigens, Metastasis, Myeloid Microenvironment, Cancer, Immunotherapy, TME, Tumorigenesis, Tumor-Stroma, Cancer Stem Cell Niche
