Researcher career profiles (R1-R4): R2 with monthly salary of 11000-12450 PLN gross
Field of science: life science
Type of recruitment: full time (An employment contract for a year and renewable for up to additional 3 years based on performance)
Project description: A post-doc will be recruited under the funding awarded by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (the TOP200 NAWA Programme) to investigate the role of tumor necrosis factor 2 in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). To achieve the goal of this project, state-of-the-art methods like CRISPR technology will be employed to perturb the expression and/or activity of TNFR2. Single-cell multi-omics and flow cytometry technologies will allow us to dissect the impacts of TNFR2 perturbations on CLL. Human CLL cell lines, experimental mouse model and primary human materials collected from voluntary CLL donors with informed consent will be used.
Requirements:
- The candidate shall possess a PhD degree in life science disciplines such as Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Cancer, Biotechnology or equivalent.
- The candidate must have a research interest in hematopoiesis, cancer biology or cancer treatment with a proven scientific track record supported by relevant publications.
- The candidate should be the first-author in at least one of those publications (original research only).
- The candidate should have a solid foundation in molecular and cellular techniques such as gene cloning, PCR, western blotting, transfection and transduction, drug treatment, cell culture, flow cytometry and cell sorting.
- Experiences in handling mice and processing human primary samples will be advantageous.
- A desired candidate should have critical skills that can allow him/her to drive a research project independently to achieve scientific excellence. These skills include project management, critical thinking, software competency, time management, creative problem-solving, team-player and good communication.
- Lastly, the candidate should be proficient in English.
