Thank you for your interest in attending an EACR virtual event. This page will cover the frequently asked questions associated with EACR virtual events that use the Zoom webinar platform (this does not include the EACR Virtual Congress)
The webinar's time zone will be based on the speaker (or at the discretion of the organiser when there are multiple speakers). The time zone code (i.e. BST or CEST) will always be shown on the webinar registration webpage and on your joining instructions email.
As EACR webinars are intended for specific audiences i.e. EACR Members/Student Members/Ambassadors, each registration is pending approval. You will not receive an email while your registration is pending. After the EACR has reviewed and approved your webinar registration, you will receive a confirmation email containing the joining instructions for the event. Please note that this email will come directly from Zoom and not from an EACR email address (i.e. email@example.com). These emails can sometimes end up in your junk or spam folder. Please check these and if you have still not received a confirmation email 24 hours before the event, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org, including in your email the event you have registered for.
If the webinar is full there will be a small message at the bottom of the page that says 'This webinar is already at capacity'. Unfortunately this means that the option to register is not available. If there are spaces you will see large boxes for you to fill in your details.
If spaces become available i.e. someone unregisters because they aren't able to attend, the option to register will be visible again on the registration webpage. You can check this periodically to see if space is available or you could try just before the start of the event. Please do not email us to request a space as waiting lists will not be available.
All virtual EACR events will be recorded and we will make these available to EACR Members in the near future. We are working on this and all members will be informed when any additional resources become available. Some webinars may be made freely available and these can be accessed from the EACRvideos YouTube channel.
As spaces are limited for EACR virtual events, if you know you will not be able to attend we would appreciate if you could unregister to allow someone else the chance to participate. You can unregister from your confirmation email or contact email@example.com. In your message, please include the details of the event from which you want to unregister.
