A 1.5-year postdoc position is available at the Oncogenomics Unit, Institute of Clinical Physiology, National Research Council (IFC-CNR) in Pisa, Italy.
The successful candidate will integrate different sets of data (including omics data, single-cell sequencing data, and clinical variables) to pinpoint similarities and differences between two transcript variants of the BRAFV600E oncogene in human cancer.
Recent PhD graduates in the field of Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or similar are encouraged to apply. They should be able to develop, adapt, and maintain analysis workflows for different data types. Therefore, solid programming skills (preferentially R, Bash, and Python) are required.
Candidates should be very motivated, self-driven, hard-working, with a strong commitment to a career in science. They should also be excellent team players, well-disposed toward multidisciplinary projects.
It is crucial that candidates are keen to integrate the bioinformatic approach into projects focused on molecular oncology and carried out by biologists, biotechnologists, and chemists.
