EACR-Worldwide Cancer Research Meeting Bursaries

We are awarding a number of bursaries to assist Student and Early Career Members of the European Association for Cancer Research, as well as researchers from countries with low income or middle-income economies, to present their work as an oral or poster presentation. For virtual events, each Meeting Bursary gives a full free registration. Non-EACR members will also be awarded a free EACR membership.

There are two eligibility categories:

• Student and Early Career EACR members with less than 4-years postdoctoral experience
• Researchers based in countries with a low- or middle-income economy (LMIC). You do not need to be a member of the EACR to apply in this category.

Eligibility

• An abstract for the conference must be submitted for either category.
• These Meeting Bursaries are targeted at individuals who, without additional funding, would not be able to attend the conference. Please consider your financial need before applying and demonstrate it in your application.

Student and Early-Career EACR Members with less than 4-years postdoctoral experience
You are a current EACR member. You are a PhD student or completed your PhD (or equivalent degree) less than four years ago. Exceptions may be made in the case of researchers who have had a professional break, such as illness or parental leave.

Researchers based in countries with a low- or middle-income economy (LMIC)
You are working or studying in the field of cancer research and are currently based in a country with a low or middle-income economy, as defined by the World Bank. Click here and scroll down to see the current list on the World Bank website. You do not need to be a member of the EACR to apply in this category.
