In this workshop key aspects of career development in cancer research and how to develop a successful and rigorous translational cancer research programme will be discussed. During the workshop, speakers will share their experience on how to balance expectations by setting realistic goals, funding strategies, interaction with clinical partners, staying focused and developing resilience during the development of a research project. In the roundtables, speakers will provide their views on specific topics that will be open to discussion to the audience.
Scientists in early phase of their career that want to develop a career in cancer research. The programme is tailored for scientists in the process of starting their independent path, as well as for researchers that exploit the clinical and industrial application of their work.
