Cancer Research Opportunities at IRCC (Italy) for post-docs and a junior P.I.

Applicants should have a strong background in cell and molecular biology, in immunology or in molecular genetics. Whilst a background in animal models is desirable, this is not essential.

Successful candidates will join a dynamic, productive and well-funded research environment. Salary will be discussed according to qualification.

IRCC is an internationally recognized centre of biomedical research and cancer treatment affiliated with the University of Turin. It hosts scientists from many countries and English is the official language. The Institute is located in Northern Italy, just outside the city of Turin and very close to Alpine resorts.

Eligible candidates are encouraged to submit a brief CV with list of Pubmed indexed publications and names of three referees. Selected candidates will be invited to IRCC for an interview.

Deadline for submission is expected to be May 2008.

The Division of Molecular Oncology at the Institute for Cancer Research and Treatment (IRCC) invites applications for three post-doctoral positions, to study the function of Met and the semaphorins in cancer progression, with particular interest for identifying the implicated molecular mechanisms and developing molecular tools to target these pathways in human tumors.
