Looking for accommodation?

Amsterdam has about 350 hotels and B&Bs in the city offering rooms in all price ranges and styles, so securing suitable accommodation should not present a difficulty.

The official Amsterdam Tourist Board website provides all the information you need to plan your trip to Amsterdam and can be found online at www.iamsterdam.com/en/visiting.

Hotel accommodation search engines will provide competitive prices, see below for some examples. However, it is often worth checking the hotel’s own website or contacting the hotel directly as they may offer special deals to match or improve on the prices provided by online accommodation services.

How to get there?

Travelling to and from the Airport
The train station at Schipol Airport is easily accessed by lifts or escalators in the terminal building. There are very regular trains to the Amsterdam Central Station. Tickets can be purchased from ticket machines using a credit card and we recommend spending a little extra to take the fast route with no stops between the airport and the station. The journey takes less than 15 minutes.

Directions from the train station
De Rode Hoed is located in the centre of Amsterdam, about a 15 minute walkfrom Amsterdam Central Train Station. Please note that getting to your destination in this area with many canals and small bridges may require some extra time.

Upon leaving Amsterdam Central Station, cross the tram rails and stay right. Walk across the bridge on your right. At the traffic lights, cross both streets towards Cafe Karpershoek / Play-Inn casino in front of you. Continue to the right, this is the Prins Hendrikkade. After approximately 100 m, follow the left turn, and immediately go right again across the bridge with the fish-shop. Turn left, then right again, at the corner with the coffee-shops (The Doors/The Bulldog).

This is the Brouwersgracht. Continue on the Brouwersgracht for approx. 200 m, past the playground, cross the bridge on the left, and continue on the bridge to the right. Turn left at the Keizersgracht (Emperor's Canal). You will find De Rode Hoed after approx. 200 m, at number 102.

Travelling by car
When arriving by car, you can park at the ANWB Parking garage (P2 in the above map) at Central Station, and follow the same route by foot, or park at De Kolk (P1, Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal) and follow the alternative route indicated on the map. The alternative route can also be taken when arriving by Tram 1, 2, 5, 13 or 17, from the stop called Nieuwezijds Kolk.

Use the above map to take a 360° tour of the venue

"Great venue. Good places to stay nearby with good connectivity by trams."

"The location in the centre of Amsterdam close to the train station was very convenient."
